The annual spring picnic is always a fun day for the family. It is usually held the Saturday before Easter. Some of the actvities have been needle-in-the-haystack (for the 'lil ones), 3 legged-race, egg toss (fierce competition!), sack race, a dessert contest, a quilt block contest, guess-how-many-jelly beans-are-in-the-jar-contest, and more!
And, of course, no picnic would be complete without fried chicken!
The main event is the Man Contest. We have had ALOT of fun with this over the years. This is a competition for men only, to put their "man skills" to the test. Some of the catagories have been lumber sawing, drilling, extension cord rolling, the honey-do obstacle course, lawn darts...?, horse-shoes, marksmanship, throw-darts-at-the-pope and brick stacking.
