THE DEVIL DOESN’T CARE IF YOU BELIEVE THE SCRIPTURES WERE GIVEN BY INSPIRATION!

How’s that for an attention grabbing headline? But it’s the truth brethren, the devil could care less that you believe the scriptures were given by inspiration. “But brother Ray”, you say, “don’t you believe in the inspiration of scripture”? Absolutely. “Then how could you say such a thing”? Simple, there is only one verse in the bible that speaks on the inspiration of scripture, II Tim 3:16 says “All scripture is given by inspiration of God…” Notice the verse didn’t say “All scripture {was} given by inspiration of God”. The phrase “is given” is present tense, the word “was or were” is past tense.
Can you imagine there ever coming a day when you would hear someone who claims to be a Christian actually try and get around an issue by arguing over what the word “IS” is. That could never happen, could it? (Unless of course you’ve been caught with your pants down)
You see, the devil doesn’t care if you believe the scriptures were given by inspiration of God, as long as you don’t believe you have those scriptures today. Do you have the scriptures? Can you show them to me? Do you read the scriptures? Do you believe the scriptures? Do you study the scriptures? Many today claim to be “Bible Believers” but when it gets right down to it, they believe no such thing. I believe the King James Authorized Version is the scriptures because I believe it is given by inspiration of God. If you don’t believe that, then you are not a true bible believer. You believe in something that no longer exists. You may believe that the “Original Autographs” {were given} by inspiration and that if they had all been put together into one book at that time that then you would have had scripture. Why is it so hard for you to admit that, if that’s what you believe then admit it, don’t be ashamed of your convictions brethren. But don’t say that you have the scriptures today if you can’t show me a bible that is given by inspiration.
Do you really think the devil trembles at the fact that you read or preach something that you don’t really believe is scripture. You see, you don’t really believe II Tim 3:16 do you? If you did, then you would diligently be seeking to get a hold of the scriptures. But since you can’t even bring yourself to believe one verse, how then could you bring yourself to believe 7 verses concerning the preservation of the scriptures:
1. Ps 12:6-7 The words of the LORD are pure words; as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times. Thou shalt keep them, O LORD, thou shalt preserve them from this generation for ever.
2. Isa 59:21 As for me, this is my covenant with them, saith the LORD; My spirit that is upon thee, and my words which I have put in thy mouth, shall not depart out of thy mouth, nor out of the mouth of thy seed, nor out of the mouth of thy seed’s seed, saith the LORD, from henceforth and for ever.
3. Matt 24:35 Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away.
4. I Pet 1:23 Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever.
5. I Pet 1:25 But the word of the Lord endureth for ever. And this is the word which by the gospel is preached unto you.
6. Ps 119:89 For ever, O LORD, thy word is settled in heaven.
7. Ps 119:160 Thy word is true from the beginning; and every one of thy righteous judgments endureth for ever.

God wants you to know that you have his perfect words, why don’t you just trust him to do what he promised to do. I invite you to be a “real” Bible Believer Matt 22:29.
